Western Tropical:
Virgo is 2nd of 3 signs that make up the triplicity of the Earth Element. The elements describes the sign's temperament (a prevailing or dominant quality of mind that characterizes somebody).
Virgo loves the Earth it is Earthy. Virgo is very sensual and loves material comforts. It has excellent recuperative powers probably because it knows how to conserve it's energy to use it in a practical way. It is very dependable. However if it's gifts are used in a negative way or if it is rubbed the wrong way it can become dull. Some see it as materialistic.
Virgo is 2nd of 4 signs that make up the quadruplicity of the Mutable Quality (mode of operating in life).
They are always changing. They are versatile, and adaptable. Their flexibility combined with their intuitiveness create ingenious things and ideas. They work subtly and sympathetically.
The book has not indicated that I should interpret anything yet. However I do feel it would be good practice to try to combine these basics to understand the sign more fully.
Virgo is very sensual and shows it in subtle sympathetic ways. They love material comforts and when they use their versatility, adaptability and flexibility they obtain those material items they love so much. Don't let this adaptability fool you though their ingenious ideas and intuitiveness are very dependable. They know how to conserve their energy which allows them very excellent recuperative powers.
