Western Tropical:
Scorpio is 2nd of 3 signs that make up the triplicity of the Water Element. The elements describes the sign's temperament (a prevailing or dominant quality of mind that characterizes somebody).
Scorpio feels things very deeply. They are very sensitive and emotional, influenced easily by the environment. They are responsive to this though causing them to be very intuitive and provide great powers of emotional and moral support. However if their gifts are used in a negative way or if they are rubbed the wrong way they can become self-indulgent, self-pitying, and indecisive.
Scorpio is 3rd of 4 signs the make up the quadruplicity of the Fixed Quality (mode of operating in life).
Determined, focused, and purposeful never wavering from their goal. They accomplish things in a gradual yet stable way, penetrating the depths of what they are working on and remembering it in an excellent way. They walk through life with dignity.
The book has not indicated that I should interpret anything yet. However I do feel it would be good practice to try to combine these basics to understand the sign more fully.
Scorpio is very responsive working in a determined, focused, and purposeful manner. They are very emotionally and morally supportive and they never waver from this. They feel things very deeply and use these feeling to penetrate the depths of everything around them especially the environment. They have an excellent memory. I want to say they can even re-feel their memories. They are very sensitive an emotional resulting in a gradual and stable approach to things. When they listen to their intuition the walk with dignity.
