I was just reading
my last art update http://controllingthemayhem.blogspot.com/2015/01/midnight-stealth-art-update.html
and decided to move forward on the goals and plans outlined in it.
I don't know if you
have ever noticed but the directions on the zodiac wheel are exactly reversed
from our earthly compass. Aries'
placement on the wheel represents the direction of the East. It is also the first day of the Spring
Equinox, and the first fire sign.
Symbolically the first light. To
incorporate this information into my picture, I want the background to be of a
sun rise.
So now, I just need
to find a few sunrise pictures I like, to practice with.
Hey look! I found some awesome pictures of the sunrise
in West Quoddy Head in Maine (which just so happens to be the most eastern
point of the Continental United States).

I will only be
focusing on the sunrise right now. I
saved all of the samples because of the different view points, types of clouds,
and colors. I want to experiment with
these a little bit while practicing sketching and painting a sunrise. I have never done a sunrise before.
