I think this is the right 1880 Census for William.  In the Census data that includes William Carl Davis he reports a birth year of 1874 more frequently.  This Census also says 1874 for B. Davis.  So ignore the previous post of the 1880 Census listing a William at the age of 1.

I couldn't take it anymore!  I changed William Pleasant Davis' birth year to 1874.

He disappears after 1920 and ancestry hints at a grave in Ohio.  I see he lived in Kentucky all of his life so I don't know why he would be buried in Ohio.  I'm not attaching this record to my tree but I will paste it here just-in-case any of you might want to check it out.

Wow!  He was a difficult one.  There are sooo many George W Davis' that married Mary's and had a William or Bill.  I had to pay really close attention to what I was doing on this one.  That's all the documents I could find on this one.
